SOTW0824 Makari "Closer"
It's been great these last weeks. Why? 'Cause the songs that have left an impression the last three or four weeks have come to me, instead of me having to look for them. Imagine that? You'd be stuck with lousy emo songs from the 2000's.
Anyway, this week's song is a new release from an awesome band called Makari. It's called "Closer" and it comes from their latest album called Wave Machine, which just came out on February 20th. So, just 5 days ago. And it fucking rips.
I honestly find Makari to be a difficult band to describe, but they're really good at making music that feels fresh and different. The guitar has riffs that go from dreamy to electric, really punchy drums and vocals that wrap everything just nicely. Just give them the chance and you'll see what I'm talking about.
